Odense, the largest town on the island, was the birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen and features many Andersen-related attractions. Other Odense attractions include the Fyns Kunstmuseum art gallery and Funen Village, a reconstructed 19th century village. Funen also features sandy beaches and historic churches and farmhouses.

The university city of Arhus is filled with entertainment, great food and Danish culture. The Lake District offers canoeing, cycling, hiking and cruising. Ancient military history is on display at Fredericia. The popular Legoland contains the world’s cities in miniature, recreated using Lego blocks.
